IMK ALUMNI ASSOCIATION: MENTIA
Alumni Association is a network that brings together graduates of a variety of programs, it acts as a bridge between the Alumni and their alma mater, giving the current students and the Alumni a chance to develop positive synergies and grow together in the process. The Alumni Association of the Institute of Management in Kerala (MENTIA) hosts meetings online or on campus, discussing departmental development actions. The department head forwards recommendations to the council. Alumni support the Institution’s growth and address institutional development concerns through Alumni gatherings.
Objectives
- To guide and assist Alumni who have recently completed their course of study at IMK to keep them engaged in productive pursuits useful to the society.
- To promote contact and communication amongst the members of the association, the University, and other academic bodies.
- To provide a forum for the Alumni for exchange of ideas on academic, cultural, and social issues of the day, by organizing and coordinating networking events.
- To raise funds for the department and to take up any other activity in furtherance of the objectives stated above.
- To maintain the updated and current information of all Alumni.
Memorandum and By-Laws of Alumni Association
- The Association shall not distribute any part of its income or profit as dividend, gift or bonus, or any other way amongst its members, provided that the office bearers, employees, or any other member shall not be debarred because of their also being members of the Association from receiving salary, remuneration for any service rendered to the Association.
- In case of unforeseen circumstances, the Executive Committee shall have an exclusive right for emergency general meeting, however, the same shall be decided at the discretion of the President and the Secretary.
- The members of the Association shall be those persons who have evidenced particular interest in the welfare of IMK and the desire to associate themselves in the activities of this Association, and shall be admitted as such upon approval of the Executive Committee.
- Every bonafide Alumni shall be eligible for membership of the Association, however, no such Alumni shall become a member of the Association without having paid such registration fee.
- In fulfilment of the objectives, the Association shall have the powers to hold meetings, conferences and organize lectures and social gatherings.
Membership Fees:
The annual membership fee shall be as follows;
- PG Students: Rs 500
- International Students: Rs 1000
- Research Scholars : Rs 1000
CORPORATE CONNECT
The Association results in members sharing opportunities for business growth, strategic alliances, joint ventures, and the co-creation of new enterprises. The Alumni Association members are continuously collaborating to move business forward. The corporate connect forum provides a confidential environment in which members leverage the shared experiences of their peers to gain clarity and make better decisions. The members usually meet for activities such as team building workshops, personality tests, volunteering, icebreaker games and online multiplayer games.
